Chop KingAxe Roguelite

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 12 August 2026 · Applies to: Chop King: Axe Roguelite (iOS)

The short version. Chop King has no accounts, no login and no sign-up form. We never ask you for your name, email address or phone number. Your game save — gear, stat nodes, gold, unlocked forests — is stored only on your own device and is never uploaded to us.

One third-party service handles limited data on our behalf: Google AdMob, which serves the ads that keep the game free. Chop King has no in-app purchases at all. Everything AdMob receives is listed below.

1. Who we are

Chop King: Axe Roguelite ("Chop King", "the app") is developed and published by Woohyeok Seo, an independent developer based in the Republic of Korea (the "developer", "we", "us").

For any question about this policy or about your data, contact tjdngur22@gmail.com.

2. What this policy covers

This policy describes how the Chop King mobile application handles information. It also covers this website. It does not cover any third-party website you may reach through a link or an advertisement — those are governed by their own policies.

3. Information we do not collect

We want to be specific about the absences, because they cover most of what people worry about:

4. Information stored on your device

Your progress is written to the app's local storage on the device itself: gold, purchased gear, stat-tree nodes, unlocked forests and maps, unlocked companions, settings such as sound on/off, and your daily-play streak.

This data never leaves your device, is not readable by us, and is not backed up to any Chop King server. Deleting the app deletes it (see section 9).

5. Information collected by third parties

The app embeds two third-party software development kits. The table below matches, category for category, the App Privacy disclosure we publish on the App Store.

Data Who Purpose Linked to you?
Device identifiers, including a mobile advertising identifier Google AdMob Serving ads, limiting how often the same ad is shown to the same device, and detecting invalid or fraudulent clicks No — not linked to your identity or to any profile we hold
Advertising interaction data (ad impressions, ad completions, clicks) Google AdMob Aggregate reporting and measurement of ad performance No

5.1 Advertising — Google AdMob

Ads keep the game free. Two formats appear: a rewarded ad you choose to watch in exchange for extra gold or a bonus, and an occasional full-screen ad between runs. Nothing in the game is locked behind watching an ad.

The app always requests non-personalized ads (the npa flag is set to true on every ad request). Non-personalized ads are selected from the general context rather than from your past behaviour. As Google documents, a device identifier is still used even in non-personalized mode, for basic ad serving, frequency capping, aggregated reporting and fraud prevention.

Google's handling of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. See also how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

5.2 No in-app purchases

Chop King contains no in-app purchases and no subscriptions. There is nothing to buy, so we hold no purchase records and no payment data of any kind. Every companion, including the collector robot, is unlocked by playing or by choosing to watch rewarded ads.

6. Why we process this data (legal bases)

For people in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and other regions with comparable law, we rely on the following legal bases under the GDPR:

The app does not show a consent dialog, because it never requests personalized advertising, never requests the Apple advertising identifier, and never asks permission to track you. If we ever change that, we will add a consent flow and update this policy before doing so. In the meantime, the controls in section 8 remain available to you at any time.

7. Data sharing and international transfers

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with data brokers. We do not disclose it for cross-context behavioural advertising. The only recipients are the two service providers named in section 5, each acting on our behalf.

Google operates globally, so data it processes may be stored or handled in countries other than yours, including the United States. Google relies on its own transfer mechanisms, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, described in the policy linked above.

We may also disclose information if we are legally required to do so by valid legal process.

8. Your choices and rights

Because the app holds no account and no identifier we control, a request about advertising data is normally best directed to Google.

9. Data retention and deletion

10. Children

Chop King carries an Apple age rating of 4+, meaning it contains no objectionable content. It is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), it is not published in the App Store's Kids Category, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact tjdngur22@gmail.com and we will delete what we can and refer the remainder to the relevant service provider.

11. Security

Save data stays inside the app's sandbox on your device, protected by the operating system's own protections. Network traffic generated by the advertising and purchase SDKs is encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure, but because we operate no server and store no personal information ourselves, the surface area here is deliberately very small.

12. Changes to this policy

If we add a service, change what data is handled, or switch to personalized advertising, we will update this page and change the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in the App Store release notes for the version that introduces them. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.

13. Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here removes a mandatory protection you have under the consumer or data-protection law of your own country of residence.
